There’s a lot to love about spending a weekend surrounded by women—creating together, laughing too loudly, eating too much, staying up too late, and being part of everything happening at Outcrop. But there’s also something pretty wonderful about knowing that when you’re ready, you have a space that belongs entirely to you.
Our three One Woman Rodeo rooms are all located on the upper level of Outcrop Manor. Each gives you your own private bedroom, your own comfortable bed, and enough space to unpack, settle in, and make yourself at home for a few days.
But these aren't three versions of the same room.
Meet High Noon, Desperado, and The Outlaw.
Each has a completely different personality. Different layouts. Different views. Different furnishings. Different little details that may make you walk into one and immediately think, Yep. This is my room.
High Noon is our largest and most private single, tucked away from the other bedrooms with its own bathroom and a little world of its own. Desperado brings warmth and character with natural wood details that make it unlike any other bedroom in the house. And The Outlaw brings those rich terracotta tones, beautiful morning light, and a character all its own.
We’ll introduce you to each one individually below, because choosing a room at Outcrop should be about more than deciding where you're going to sleep.
Spend your days being part of the retreat. Then, whenever you've had enough of all of us, head upstairs, close your door, kick off your boots, and enjoy having your own little piece of Outcrop all to yourself.
HIGH NOON
Our Master One Woman Rodeo
If you’re going to ride solo, you might as well do it in the biggest room in the house.
High Noon is our master bedroom and the most private of our single-occupancy rooms. Tucked away from the other bedrooms, it gives you a little retreat within the retreat—more space, your own bathroom, your own temperature controls, and two doors opening directly onto a covered patio.
And then there’s the sunrise.
High Noon faces east, and those patio doors give you a front-row seat to some of the most beautiful country sunrises we’ve ever seen. Wake up early, step outside with your coffee, and watch the sky change over the Colorado plains. In the evening, sit outside and enjoy the quiet. During the day, open the doors when the weather cooperates and let that country breeze move through the room.
Inside, you’ll find the only queen-size bed at Outcrop, with a cooling memory-foam mattress and an additional mattress-pad layer for comfort. Six sleeping pillows plus two decorative pillows make it very easy to disappear into bed when the day is over. Two oversized nightstands give you plenty of room for everything you brought along, and a collection of books in case you actually find yourself with a quiet moment.
You also control your own comfort with an individual mini-split cooling system and radiant-floor heat.
Then there’s the bathroom, and this is where you may create a little jealousy downstairs.
High Noon has its own private ensuite with two vanities, a separate soaking tub, and a zero-entry shower. No coordinating bathroom schedules. No carrying your things down the hall. It’s all yours.
For someone hosting a retreat, this room can be especially wonderful. Hosting means being “on” for everyone else throughout the weekend, and High Noon gives you a private place to step away, recharge, sleep, and come back ready to do it all again the next morning.
High Noon Is Still Becoming High Noon
Like the rest of Outcrop, this room is part of our journey and it isn't finished yet.
We’re continuing to layer in the pieces that will make this big room feel warmer and more complete. Additional privacy coverings are planned for the patio doors, along with bedside and wall lighting, floor lamps, seating, and finishing touches throughout the room. The closet will also eventually have doors added, with a portion remaining locked as an owner’s closet.
We’re also working on improvements to the zero-entry shower, including correcting the way the water is contained and upgrading the shower experience with a waterfall-style shower fixture.
So if you stay in High Noon today and come back a year from now, don't be surprised if she looks a little different.
The sunrise, however, we're leaving exactly as it is.
DESPERADOA Little Cowgirl Romance
I probably shouldn’t pick favorites, but Desperado might be mine.
We named this room Desperado because the name carries exactly the feeling we wanted this room to have. There’s the country romance of the song—the independent spirit, the longing, the idea of someone who has been out there doing life on their own terms. Then there’s the cinematic side of the name: a little mysterious, a little rebellious, and undeniably cool.
Put the two together and somehow Desperado just belonged on the door.
It’s the only bedroom at Outcrop with touches of blue woven into our earthy country palette, giving it a softer cowgirl-romantic feel. Little details, including one of my favorite horse lamps, bring in the Western character without making the room feel overly themed.
Desperado faces east, with two doors opening onto a covered stamped-concrete patio. Wake up to the Colorado sunrise coming through the doors, step outside with your morning coffee, or sit there later when the property gets quiet and enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.
It’s spacious, peaceful, comfortable, and just a little unexpected.
Maybe that’s what makes it my favorite.
A little country. A little romance. A little rebellious. That’s Desperado.
THE LONE RANGER
The Lone Ranger has a completely different feeling from Desperado.
Where Desperado feels romantic and dreamy, The Lone Ranger feels peaceful in its solitude. It’s quiet. Grounded. The kind of room that makes being alone feel less like being lonely and more like having finally found a little space to yourself.
Warm terracotta bedding sets the tone, paired with mid-century and early-American-inspired art and details that give the room a collected, slightly nostalgic country feel. There’s also a comfortable chair tucked into the room, your spot to read a few pages of a book, drink your coffee, stare out the window, or simply sit and ponder absolutely nothing for a while.
Open the blinds and let the wide country views become part of the room. Depending on the direction you're looking, you can catch the changing light across the property and watch the sky put on one of those shows that makes living this far out feel completely worth it.
And when you're ready to disappear under the covers, The Lone Ranger has its own mini-split system, so you can make the room as cool as you like without negotiating with anybody else.
Maybe that's why the name fits.
The Lone Ranger isn't lonely. She's just perfectly content riding solo for a while.
All three of our single rooms are located on the top level of Outcrop Manor and are designed to give one guest a comfortable, private place to recharge.
Each room includes a full-size memory foam mattress, four pillows, soft microfiber sheets, a comforter, and a throw blanket. Nightstands include built-in electrical outlets for easy charging and plugging in anything you may need overnight.
Every single room also includes fans—either ceiling fans, bedside fans, or both—as well as dedicated space for your luggage and belongings.
Desperado and Lone Ranger share a hallway bathroom with one additional double-occupancy room, meaning no more than four guests share that bathroom at one time.
High Noon has its own private bathroom.
